A Brief Discussion of "Playing Cards" Culture
Fishermen don't know where the fish are before they go to sea. Yet they still choose to set out, believing they will return with a full catch. Before playing cards, one doesn't know whether they will win or lose, yet they are still enthusiastic and firmly believe they will win today. Even if you get the worst hand, you have to play it out. The ancient Greek philosopher Epictetus said, "For things beyond our control, we must maintain optimism and confidence; for things within our control, we must maintain caution and moderation." Many times, it is only through choice that we have opportunities, through belief that possibilities arise, through effort that we reap rewards, and through perseverance that we achieve results. Don't underestimate the power of your inner beliefs; they contain 90% of our subconscious mind's power. Daily persistence is not to impress anyone or prove anything to anyone. It's because I know that running forward is far better than standing still.
Many things may seem hopeless and difficult now, but life is always Valued in perseverance, achieved through diligence, stopped by comfort, wasted in laziness. No one's hand is worth envying; you can only play the cards you have well, believing that this hand will win money.
