Properties: Antimony is a non-ferrous metal, metallic antimony with a silver-white appearance, hexagonal crystal system, with a melting point of 630.5°C, a Mohs hardness of 3, and a density of 6.69 g/cm3. It is a poor conductor of heat and electricity. Antimony is fragile, easy to grind, and has no ductility. It is not easy to react with air or oxygen at room temperature. Antimony is insoluble in water and generally does not react with acids.
Applications: Antimony is used as a hardening agent for alloys, mainly used in metallurgy, storage batteries, military industries and other industries, as well as aluminum materials, cable sheaths, welding materials, sliding bearings and other products. It is also the raw material for the production of antimony trioxide.
