Details determine success or failure

Mount Tai does not reject fine soil, so it can become high; the rivers and seas do not choose small streams, so they can become deep." The door to success is always ajar; it depends on whether you have the ability to discover and open it. I think details are the key to the door of success.

The success or failure of many things often depends on a small matter. The Columbia space shuttle was destroyed because of a small decimal point calculation error before launch. A decimal point may be insignificant in our daily calculations, but at a critical moment, it decided the fate of seven astronauts. How can we dare to say, "It's just a small detail, don't worry about it"? Don't use "great things don't care about details" as an excuse to be careless. Whether it's dealing with people or studying, it's not enough to just grasp the big picture. In our work, paying attention to details undoubtedly increases the chances of success, making work feel comfortable and effortless. Work is part of life, and life cannot be without work.

Speaking of work, details are really important. For us salespeople, not only should we do our job well, but we should also do a good job in external marketing. A business card, neat attire, a confident smile, a warm greeting, and a small gift as an opening will leave a deep impression on customers and directly affect your work performance. Many times, when you first contact a new customer, the other party doesn't know you, and there may even be some apprehension, and you are not familiar with them either. But when you silently remember the customer's name and position each time and store their phone number, on an unexpected day, when the customer may call to inquire due to a need, at the moment the phone is connected, you can warmly greet them with "Mr. Liu, hello!" This will undoubtedly make the customer feel a warm current in their heart, and the probability of a deal will be much higher. All this is just because you took the time to remember their name and phone number.

I once heard a friend tell me about one of his clients. At that time, the client already had its own stable suppliers and was not considering changing suppliers. So, my friend didn't rush to market and visit, but instead sent a warm message or a short beautiful article every week, and sent holiday greetings during festivals. This persistent spirit lasted for two years, and finally, two years later, he successfully established a long-term supplier relationship with this client. Details are about consistently doing seemingly small things well.

A person's life will experience too many people and things. On the long road of life, seize every opportunity, pay attention to every detail, and persist in every correct thing. When you can persist in making every detail in your life and work as perfect as possible, unexpected surprises will surely come quietly one day.
